Hilarious

So last night I googled this "FOCUS test" to see what we're looking at. 'Cause I'm like that. I found a website that posts the questions on a newspaper-related bridal guide site. However, I think someone either cribbed them or typed them quickly, because there's some mistakes I noticed while skimming through them. Typical premarital stuff, here's an excerpt:

ARE YOU COMPATIBLE?

The FOCUS test (Facilitating Open Couple Communication, Understanding and Study) is given to couples who plan to marry in the Catholic Church. It is one of the most comprehensive compatibility surveys offered by any church, and it is part of the churchís mandatory marriage preparation. The test is not really a ìtest,î and is not designed to predict future marital success, but rather to help couples target areas they may need to discuss further before marriage. There are 156 questions, plus 33 more questions that address couples who are interfaith, are remarrying or who cohabitate. Couples take the test individually, simply marking Agree, Disagree or Undecided on their answer forms. Here are the questions:

1. I am nearly always relaxed around my future spouse.

2. I want a strong sexual relationship in marriage.

3. My future spouse has shared his/her feelings about the responsibilities involved in having children.

4. As a couple, we have many mutual friends that we both enjoy.

5. We agree on the extent of our ongoing involvement in church.

6. We are in agreement about the husband and wife roles each of us expects of the other in our marriage.

7. There are certain behaviors or habits in my future spouse which sometimes annoy me.

8. Sometimes my future spouse feels that I do not listen to him/her. . . .

Then I had to stop and giggle at question #53:
53. I am uncomfortable with the amount my future souse drinks.

ROFLMAO

Question, Don - which one of us gets to be the future souse? I'll arm wrestle you for it.

Wow are there a ton of typos! It would drive me nuts (the editor that I am) have fun - btw - a couple of books you and Don may want to read before you get married - they really helped Steve and me - Love and Respect by Emerson Eggrichs - and For Women Only and For Men Only by Shaunti Feldhan - these are great books for helping a marriage relationship get off to a great start.
