Project: invitations
I think I'm going to be a brave, brave girl and save a few hundred dollars by making my own. Here's the idea: First the invite itself will be printed on a lesser-weight cardstock in an off-white or cream color. I'll use a gif I've downloaded from the net, or use another jpg when I've gotten my cd of old theater posters. But somehow I'll print an old poster onto the side of the invitation, or as the entire invitation with our wedding wording as part of the poster. Then I'll stick that to a thick cardstock with a color on it as a backing. Anyway, in theory I'll be able to dink around until I get professional-looking results. When all is said and done, I should be able to swing it for less than $150.
Here's my first mockup using what I have. Keep in mind I'm limited by time and the basics of Word - I'm not so sure I'd use green marble backing, for example, but I don't have time to hunt around for what I want for this quick post.
